Thank you for visiting me. I have been sewing for over 30 yrs.
It all started when I was in junior high school and had to take home ed. My parents bought me a sewing machine and it was on! Of course, I took about a 15 yr. break.
I first started making t-shirt quilts several years ago and got a letter from someone who lost a love one and wanted to know if I could make something out of their clothing. Well, the feeling I got when I opened that box was something I can't explain. Having dealt with loss myself, I think this is a kind of theropy for me. The quilt was made and we both cried.
I have been receiving clothing for quilts from people who have lost a loved one, new birth, adopting a child or children, clothing that couples have saved from their little ones over the years, etc. I have enjoyed doing each and every one of them. All of them have touched my heart. I love being able to give a family or friend something that will bring them comfort. What can be more comforting than wrapping up with the one or one's you love.
I also think with the economy the way it is, people are looking for a more practical way to spend their money. All of my quilts are one of a kind and no one will ever have the same one. The pattern may be the same, but the clothing and overall look is theirs.
Since most of my products are custom made, if I can help you send me a convo of what your wanting and we can go from there. Also, keep in mind that the time frame may differ, depending on the amount of projects I have going on at the time.
I also offer photo transfer to fabric. I can transfer directly from the picture,( which will be returned unharmed) or send it to me by e-mail.
So, shop around and see what kind of ideas we can come up with. If you have your own idea, as some of my customers do, we can usually make it work.
