Modern Jewelry-designed and made in San Francisco
Like so many others, I started out beading and assembling jewelry just as a hobby. I went to college, studied music, worked on theater productions, graduated and then came job after unsatisfying job, with no direction, little creativity and did I mention the dissatisfaction?
But the whole time, I kept making jewelry on the side, so I started all over-this time with metalsmithing. I took classes at a technical college and then I took the big plunge-a move to San Francisco. I attended the Revere Academy, worked for other jewelry designers and then took yet another big plunge in 2011; I quit my job to start my own business. Scary? Yes. Satisfying? Oh, yes.
I love working directly with metal, and knowing that each piece that I make will end up being worn by a person. So I make my pieces to feel good _and_ look good. Smooth surfaces, neutral palettes and kinetic movement are the cornerstones of my designs. My jewelry is meant to work with you-the biggest compliment that I get is when someone tells me that they never want to take it off.
