By understanding the craftmanship required to turn only a spool of raw silver or gold "thread" into the elegant and tirelessly shaped pieces featured by many talented Etsians, we will truly begin to appreciate all that goes into this art form. As an early artist, a jeweler friend once told me - there are pieces you make for "show" and there are pieces you make to SELL. Well, there are many places that you can buy jewelry made to sell....from your local discount store all the way to upscale retailers. And the focus is always going to be on volume and profit. However, I believe you will find a handful of true artisans here on Etsy...Sheela Goh of Eclettica Atelier, Magdalena Borejko of Magdalena's Atelier, the many talented members of The Wire Artisans' Guild, and hopefully myself to name a few. I believe our efforts are made with an entirely different focus...the true focus of any serious artisan...and that is BEAUTY. Beauty requires a skill of the mind, the hand, and the heart that can never be rushed or compromised. We have chosen to focus on the excellence in wire jewelry making...mastering the skills of today and discovering new techniques for tomorrow.

These one-of-a-kind pieces focus on fine metals, natural gemstones, and above all, clean and precise wire wrapping. There are two ways to do wire wrapping....you can do it fast, or you can do it right. In order to create a piece of heirloom quality jewelry, an artisan must invest hours if not days on the design. This investment calls for only the highest quality materials. You can be assured that this will be a piece to be treasured for centuries.
