Thanks for visiting Silk Oak's Shop on Etsy! We hope you'll love it here and come back to visit often.
How do we do it? We start by hand-cutting our original screen designs. Each color is lined up by eye and hand printed using a separate screen. This results in each and every Silk Oak garment being unique and slightly different from all the others. We use water soluble, environmentally friendly dyes that form a permanent bond with the fibers of the fabric rather than sitting on the surface of the cloth like regular fabric printing ink. After being printed, the garments are machine washed 2-3 times in hot water and dried in the dryer. This means you get a garment with a softer feel, more vibrant color, and easier washability. More importantly, the Silk Oak process is safer for us, safer for you, and easier on the environment.
Payment
Etsy now offers easy, direct payment with a credit card!
You can also pay with PayPal even if you are not a registered PayPal user. Once you have checked out on Etsy and submitted your order, click the "Pay now" button. On the bottom of the PayPal page you will see the option to pay with a credit card without having to register. Payment is usually expected within 3 days.
We accept checks and money orders and will allow extra time for them to get mailed to us, however, your item(s) will not be shipped until your check clears.
If payment is not received within 7 days with no response from the buyer, we reserve the right to cancel the sale and relist the item(s).
New York State residents need to add 4% sales tax to their order.

Shipping
For Domestic orders- We generally ship USPS first class and try to ship out packages as quickly as possible, usually within 5-7 days and often sooner. If an item is out of stock or there is a delay for any reason, we will always let you know. If you need a piece rushed, just let us know, and, if it's possible, we'll be happy to work with your deadline. If your order is a gift and you'd like it shipped directly to the Giftee, no problem! Just let us know
For International orders, including Canada- We're happy to add an international shipping option to any order. You are responsible for all duty, customs, or any other charges imposed by your country above and beyond the USPS (United States Postal Service) postal charges that you already paid. These may be due when you pick up your package. Please feel free to contact us for rates.
We ALWAYS ship to the address you typed in here on Etsy - Contact us if there's anything we need to know otherwise, or to confirm the address.

Refunds and Exchanges
Please let us know if there are any problems with your order. We want you to be thrilled with your purchase. We're happy to work with you on a solution. Exchanges are always welcome. The customer is responsible for shipping on returns or exchanges. Please contact us prior to sending an item so that we know when to expect it.
Additional Policies and FAQs
Care of your Silk Oak garment-
Washing Info- the first few times you wash your garment, machine wash using warm or hot water and toss in the dryer. Cold water is possible after several washings.
All of our garments feature our original designs and are copyrighted by Silk Oak.
