Announcement    Want Handmade? Original? Here you'll find truly handmade, thoughtfully designed, beautifully crafted ceramic pottery art pieces that are made to last decades. I hope you find something useful here that nourishes your soul and makes you smile. NOTE:
Shop will be on vacation April 12-13, May 1-7 and May 10-13, so get your favorites now! Some items will also be removed from listings for gallery showings in 2024.

Skybirdarts creates stoneware ceramic pieces that are beautiful, functional, whimsical and unusual.
Designs include mugs, Yunomi tea bowls, horses, amphibians, hawks, birds, bats, seahorses, mermaids, ink bottle holders, goblets, and other forms in beautiful glazes. I have been making my original, iconic cephalopod (squid, octopus) mugs since around 2007. Every piece is made with great attention to detail, from making the forms, sculpting the additions, refining, hand painting and glazing. These are not "Just" mugs or jars, they are functional works of art that will last many decades with proper care.
Thank you for your past purchases and kind words. Your feedback on Etsy is appreciated. Pottery is heavy, so please consider the cost of Priority shipping ONE mug averages from about $11-15 in the U.S., more to the west coast. **For more info on shipping, please read below. I do ship to Canada, but it is costly.

I am happy to answer questions or send additional photos, and I really appreciate your Etsy review on purchases. Prices vary, depending upon size, complexity of the piece, and the glaze. I use recycled materials like shredded junk mail and previously used packaging for shipping to be as eco-friendly as possible, and I pack with great care. I no longer offer returns or exchanges, due to the fact that most folks will not pack as carefully as I do, and it is both risky and costly. Should you ever receive a piece damaged, please save ALL packaging and pieces, to file a claim with the US Postal Service. They require proof.
Therefore, please consider carefully before buying, and read the reviews from past customers.

NOTE: I can only do holds or reserves on items for 24 hours, due to limited availability and high demand. Sorry, due to new, complex and odious 2022 rules,
I CAN NO LONGER SHIP to Germany.

**SHIPPING: If you are out of the U.S.A. and don't find a SHIPPING OPTION listed, please send me a convo message and I'll give you a shipping cost. Keep in mind that pottery is heavy- one mug with packaging generally weighs at least 2 to 4 lbs. Larger or multiple pieces are more. Multiple pieces may be shipped in more than one box. There is a 4 lb. limit for USPS regular mail before the cost jumps a lot. For a shipping option OTHER than Priority Mail, (safest and insured,) check the choices and you should be able to choose a different one, or MESSAGE me BEFORE buying for options like snail mail.

Sorry, due to new 2022 rules, I CAN NO LONGER SHIP to Germany. Thank You!
