BIO for Carolyn Weir of Skysetter Designs - As a former Kite Flyer and Kite Maker, I take great joy in seeing colorful shapes aloft. I wanted to bring some of that artistry into my home and the homes of others. After discovering Alexander Calder, Timothy Rose, Julie Frith (yes, you too Julie) and others, I was intrigued by the possibility of creating beautiful kinetic sculptures. In addition to creating mobiles with solid colored shapes I discovered the joy of watercolor painting and have found a way to join the beauty of watercolors and the interesting movement of the kinetic mobile. I'm thrilled with the possibility of creating unique artistic sculptures daily. I hope that my enthusiasm flows into my work and to you!
I also create jewelry through the discovery of new and old wireworking techniques. I have been working with wire and beads off and on since 1976. Can you say "Busy Hands"!
