Welcome to Sleepy Hollow Prims! I am so happy that you stopped in. I have dabbled in all sorts of crafts and have so many favorites that at one moment or another I am always sewing, painting, sanding, or grunging. I love it! I do not really use patterns as the few times I have I've changed things so immensely that I should have started from scratch to begin with, hence I rely on brainstorming and creativity.

Recently I had a customer who purchased a primitive sign from me. She left me neutral feedback, the first one I had ever received from Etsy, Ebay, and my store. The reason she left neutral feedback, so she says, is because she didn't like the fact that there was a knot in the wood sign I sent her. Although I tried to explain that my items are "Primitive Art" and are listed as "worn and old" intentionally in the titles and descriptions she still didn't care and at the end I believe she probably plays the game with many sellers. Purchase and then pretend there was a problem so she gets her money back. I refused to compensate her for a primitive item that was crafted beautifully and especially as listed. She wanted something that appeared as if it were mass produced for WalMart. That is not what I do. I make primitive items that although are brand new, look like they are from the 1860's. She left me a poor feedback but she has to live with the fact that she tried to destroy a seller who sent her EXACTLY what she ordered. I do not work with mean vindictive people. I reported her abuse to Etsy. The reason for this banter is simple - My wood may have knots or maybe some rough edges. It is primitive and rustic. If you do not want primitive art that has ALWAYS received the highest of feedback for it's authenticity, please shop elsewhere as primitive artists are quite content when they find a good knotted up piece of wood to paint a beautiful picture on :)
