Welcome to Snappy Shop. I love vintage mid century kitchen dresses, day dresses, aprons and house dresses. I sometimes have trouble finding them in my size or in good condition. So I've been buying vintage dress patterns and am in the process of filling this shop (and my closet!) with beautiful cotton reproduction dresses, aprons and hand made toys. I can't wait to have lots of beautiful new fashions to wear!

Some of the designs and patterns you see here are my own original designs. I love
coming up with my own patterns and playing with fabric. The apron pockets are all my own original designs based on vintage apron patterns I've owned and researched. I love old kitchy kitchen aprons!

Some of the vintage dress patterns I use are altered by me for a more comfortable and modern fit. I really like a gently gathered sleeve, but not a cartoonish poof from the past. I don't want to feel like I'm wearing a costume. I always alter the sleeves so that they are wearable and modern and they are not wearing you,

My sewing is very high quality, I've been sewing for more than 25 years
My handmade items are made by me in my home. I use the best quality fabrics available.

My aprons, clothing and toys are built very sturdily, and will last for generations. Please allow 1 -2 weeks for manufacture and delivery.

Occasionally I will run out of a specific print from the photos in my shop, so I'll use a substitute fabric that has the same colorway and quality.

I also love cooking, gardening, photography, writing, reading, filmmaking, bike riding & walking my dogs. I collect old kitchy kitchen items and always look for aprons when I go thrifting. They can be tough to find, especially in good condition. So, I started making aprons inspired by kitschy aprons from the past.
