SOAPWALLA was born in my Brooklyn apartment kitchen one evening, after months of unsuccessfully hunting for face and body products that wouldn't aggravate my sensitive skin issues caused by lupus, a chronic, inflammatory autoimmune illness.

Soapwalla organic skincare products are designed to cleanse without stripping the oils that our skin naturally produces. These oils form part of our bodies' natural immune defense system, and are essential for optimum skin health.

I use organic, vegan food-grade ingredients and pure essential oils, never questionable additives such as sodium lauryl sulfate, parabens or harsh and synthetic ingredients.

Soapwalla's products are ideal for those with sensitive skin (and perhaps who, like me, are terrified of trying most things on the market), and folks who are hungry for artisanal products that are lovingly crafted with only the highest quality ingredients!

I create every item by hand in my Brooklyn apartment kitchen with pure, conscientiously produced and harvested vegan ingredients. Soapwalla is a proud member of the Leaping Bunny and Caring Consumer cruelty-free coalitions.

When I'm not creating skin food in the kitchen, you'll find me playing violin, hanging upside down on a trapeze, or practicing ashtanga yoga.

PLEASE NOTE: All packaging materials are recycled (packing peanuts come from the local Park Slope Food Co-op). PLEASE keep them out of the landfill by reusing. Thanks!

Welcome to the Soapwalla Kitchen!

Soapwalla organic face and body products are made with organic and food-grade ingredients, and are specifically designed for those with sensitive skin. Soapwalla products cleanse with natural ingredients without stripping the oils that our skin naturally produces. Soapwalla does NOT use questionable additives such as sodium lauryl sulfate, parabens, waxes, pthalates, or harsh and synthetic ingredients. Soapwalla products are vegan and are never ever tested on animals.

However, if you have sensitive skin or a history of allergic reactions, PLEASE test all products on a small area inside your wrist for 2-3 days prior to using. I cannot guarantee you will not have, and I will not be held responsible for, any skin reactions. Thank you.

Payment

I accept payments thru PayPal. I also accept credit card payment over the telephone if you wish to pay directly to me rather than through Paypal. I accept Visa and Mastercard. Customer credit cards will be billed as Soapwalla Inc. Please email me directly at soapwallachef [at] gmail [dot] com if you wish to purchase with a credit card.
f you would like to mail a personal check or money order, I will prepare and ship your order once I receive and cash your check.

Shipping

To ensure you receive the freshest ingredients possible, I create Soapwalla products once I receive your order. I will process, create, carefully package and ship via USPS within 1-5 business days. Often, orders go out on the same day. I do not ship on weekends or holidays; if you place your order on Friday it will be shipped the following Monday (Tuesday, if a holiday weekend).

Please make sure the address associated with your Etsy account is accurate; I ship to the address provided here, and *not* your Paypal account. If you are sending an order as a gift, I would be more than happy to include a gift card - please let me know in the comments section what you would like me to say.

I ship all orders from Brooklyn, NY. Shipping times vary, but generally speaking, you will receive your package within:

US East Coast: 1 to 3 days
US Midwest: 2 to 4 days
US West Coast: 3 to 7 days

Canada and Mexico: 3 to 7 days
Elsewhere: 7 to 30 days, depending on customs regulations

These are estimations. If you have not received your package in a timely manner, please contact me.


**INSURANCE AND DELIVERY CONFIRMATION** I add delivery confirmation to packages for tracking purposes. I HIGHLY recommend that you add insurance to ensure safe delivery. If you would like insurance, please let me know as soon as you make your purchase so I can add it to the shipping cost. I recommend purchasing insurance for transactions over $20. If you do not purchase insurance, I am not responsible for items once I ship them.

**International shipments -- PLEASE consider insuring your product if you are an international purchaser. It is the safest way to ensure you will receive your product in a timely and safe manner.

Refunds and Exchanges

Because Soapwalla products do not contain any artificial preservatives, I cannot accept returns on used or opened items.

If you have a question or concern, please conact me as I am confident we can come up with a solution. Thank you! I also HIGHLY recommend that if you have sensitive skin or a history of allergic reactions, please test all products on a small area inside your wrist for 2-3 days prior to using.
