Welcome!

My name is Emily - Songbird began as a hobby, and is slowly growing into a part-time venture, digital art prints, invitations, and helping small businesses and individuals create print identity and marketing solutions. I have a day job that I dig, helping people in a "social-workish" position, so Songbird is my creative outlet. Even though this is my hobby, I work on it nights and weekends, and despite that, any previous client can tell you that I'm pretty speedy at what I do.

My passion for creating invitations and announcements began several years ago. I attended Oregon College of Art and Craft, and have always been interested in the arts and crafts. Eventually, I started creating party invitations, baby shower invitations, thank you notes, brochures, and business cards. The occasions and opportunities are endless.

I am a mother of three children, two dogs, best mate of James, and a night owl. I like to garden, plan remodeling projects, design tiled back splashes and floors, and play on my computer. I am happiest when I am at the beach reading, creating things on my computer, and with my family.

My designs are created digitally using my computer. The photographs are originals, taken in Portland and on trips to and from surrounding areas, and then digitally manipulated. I am always embarking on different projects, so check back often to see what's new! Anything you see here can be done in an endless combination of colors and fonts.
