spurlock's Shop Announcement

Spurlock is the artwork of Chris Lawson (me). I travel or roam all over the place, working on art projects (and searching for unusual materials and resources). Layering old or found papers, textiles, or ephemera; augmenting with drawing, painting, stitching...that's how I go about creating these unique works.

2010 exhibitions planned for Atlanta, Chicago, New Orleans, Omaha, and Birmingham. My one-man show "Chris Lawson: New Works" was on exhibit at the Corcoran's White Hall Gallery in Washington DC, February, 2009.

Chris Lawson's works are in over 3,500 collections worldwide...collectors include Michael Stipe, Patti Smith, Will Oldham, Julianne Moore, and Wyclif Jean.

He's represented by Checkered House in Chicago and Ghost & Bread Gallery in San Francisco. His artwork is also available at JazzFest in New Orleans.
