My philosophy is about "doing unto others". I only sell high quality prepared fiber and am determined to be fair with my pricing.
I prepare my batts myself. Often, I prepare right off the sheep - which includes washing the fleece, teasing, carding, blending, etc. This is very time consuming. I am not taking commercial rovings and blending them - you are getting fiber that is minimally processed and as natural as possible, if even with a little lanolin left in it. I do not use acid to remove vegetative matter - I only use Dawn or Orvus and perhaps a glug of white vinegar when scouring my fleece.
It has been a struggle to find that price balance. I abhor overpriced items...so I will not overcharge you for prepared spinning fiber and handspun yarn. I will stay at the lower end of fair market value combined with my time to prepare and/or spin. I will try to offer larger quantities - because I know there are a limited number of things you can do with a single skein...so I will try to keep the amounts more than 4 oz.
Thanks for looking. I wish you peace.
