Storyville... a place away from places, plucked out of memory, poetry and myth to exist as a captured moment, very often at the apex of the plot. The moment when Hansel and Gretel, hand-in-hand, choose to go further down the dark path to the bright delicious house; the moment when a little girl gazes into the wolf's sheepish eyes and reveals all her weaknesses irregardless of consequence; the moment every lovely girl ever offered a polished red apple plucks it up and bites - not delicately but ravenously - into it’s crisp, juicy bits and forever changes her world.
