Silver jewelry and painting have always been passions of mine. When everyone else was loving gold, I could never turn my back on that gorgeous silver. Everywhere I went I was buying up lots of silver, usually factory fabricated. Then it hit me.....everyone else was buying that very same factory silver. Nothing I bought was special, unique. So I decided to learn how to handcraft my own jewelry. I had many friends and acquaintences comment on what I was wearing and their compliments made me decide to offer my creations to others who also appreciate handcrafted one-of-a-kind wearable art.
When I am not creating silver jewelry, I am working on my paintings. I offer to you my original acrylic paintings and my giclee reproductions of my more expensive artwork. Please take a look and I am sure you will find something that melts your heart, from the small calf in the pasture to the big rodeo bull standing majestically waiting to enter the chute.
A Mule A Day....what is this? I have undertaken painting a mule a day for as long as I can. Each will be smaller than my usual paintings and very affordable for those who want original art, but cannot afford the larger ones. Each mule is taken from a photograph of a real mule....if their painting seems 'awkward' or 'fabricated' it actually is a true pose. Mules are serious, lazy, hard-working, comical, loving and aloof. My paintings will try to to convey the many facets of the mule and their donkey counterparts.
So, here it is......my gorgeous art. Art that you can enjoy at home on the walls, or silver that you can wear anywhere you go..... everyday art or for that special occasion.
