If you're familiar with ADHD, you probably know the familiar "SQUIRREL!" conflict that we have. Do you also know that we have unhealthy fixations and then abandon them just as quickly? When I buy a new pattern and try it out, I instantly feel the need to make 10-15 of them! I do usually limit myself to a batch of 3 or 4; but after that first one, I let myself go all out and start a batch of like 6-10. About half-way through all of them, I get bored and find a new pattern. It starts all over again. It's very hard to redo things I've already done (like checking math answers) so I have so many unfinished projects. But I also have so many of each pattern, that it's almost insane.
Sometimes, I also feel like abandoning sewing all together because I get overwhelmed by the unfinished projects judging me from their bin. But then I find my "sew-jo" again with a new pattern. I try to use that motivation to at least finish 1 or 2 forgotten items. It usually works because the rush of dopamine that I get after finishing a product is the best motivation.
