In 2005, my son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and had to spend three days in the Pediatric ICU. In order to combat feelings of helplessness, I decided to sell some of my crafty goods and donate the proceeds to JDRF. I enlisted the help and support of crafters and artist from all over the world. The goal of the Sugarcube Society shop is to find a cure for this disease by trying to raise as much money as possible for research and trials.

ALL PROCEEDS(after etsy fees) from this shop WILL GO TO JDRF(Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). You can learn more about this disease and how it affects children and adults alike by visiting www.jdrf.org.
