supervelma's Shop Announcement

Welcome to Drop Dead Quirky - If you've got a problem, yo I'll solve it... as long as your problem is that you need something stitched. Other than that... I don't know, no guarantees.

Now, you can like me on Facebook -

Drop Dead Quirky -
Purveyor of hand-stitched and/or hand-painted pop culture stuff and nonsense -
including, but not limited to, rap lyrics, movie quotes, cuss words, creepy movie scenes, the occasional set of boobs and, yes, embroidered Kanye West tweets (As featured on Regretsy, Jezebel, The Village Voice, Gawker, Buzzfeed, NPR, Biba Magazine, and the Huffington Post among other places -I'm still accepting limited commissions for them, please message me for availability)

About the shop: I try to use recycled and upcycled stuff as often as possible (fabrics, frames, clothes, toys). I'm always open to commissions, so if you've got something you'd like to see translated into thread - tweet, facebook post, portrait, song lyrics, inside joke, outside joke, family crest, your favorite sea animal, 90s hair band logo, boobs - let me know

**PLEASE NOTE** most of my work is on fibers and I do have pets in my home (2 dogs, 2 cats and a 14-year-old boy), so if you are extremely allergic to any of those things, I would recommend against eating any of the pieces or rubbing them all over the sensitive parts of your body (no judgment).

Media requests, fan mail, hate mail, marriage proposals, n00ds, and restraining orders can be directed to dropdeadquirky [!at]

I have a blog, too, because I guess I still think it's 2001?

I've also got Tumblr (supervelma), Twitter (@snozzberry), Instagram (supervelma) and Words With Friends (supervelma) in case you're dying to know the minutiae of my life.

***As often as possible, a portion of my proceeds go to Welcome Home Barnyard Sanctuary, a 501(c)3 non-profit farm animal rescue located in Corpus Christi, TX***

I doubt anyone has bothered to read this far.

I mean, seriously, who reads through the whole "shop info"? You glance through looking for coupon codes or links to any weird policies like not shipping to Latvian countries during the full moon...

And if you are reading this far, what are you hoping to find? The secret of life? The secret life of bees? The secret of Nimh? The secret of my success? A great banana bread recipe?
