I grew up in South Florida where my family grew avocados. Since I didn't grow up in a neighborhood, I learned to entertain myself at a very early age. I have done many arts, crafts and fiber work over the years.

I took a metal smith class and I was hooked! It is so challenging and extremely fun. I enjoy outdoor activities and draw my inspiration from nature and organic elements. I have met some great artists and love learning from the people I meet.

I work for hours in my home studio, which is the basement, and do a lot of experimentation with enamels and different metal shapes. Hammering, folding, torching, and kiln firing. I also fuse silver to copper to get a very organic style. Some of my jewelry cannot be reproduced due to the experimentation.

I belong to a group of ladies called '6 Women With A Torch' and in 2014 we had an earring challenge of 1 pair per week. We posted every week on Facebook. This year our challenge is 2 items per month, e.g. earrings, necklace or necklace bracelet. We will post at the end of the month.
