WELCOME TO MY STORE!!
At the moment, April 2011, I am in the USA where I live in California (because of the terrible disasters in Japan), but
I moved to Japan in 2006 where my red glaze developed into the "Kamakura-Red" glaze. The “Kamakura-Red" ware is inspired by the texture and red pigmented color of the Kamakura Bori woodcarving Art. The multi-layered red glaze symbolizes love, passion and strength. Living in Kamakura with its rich culture and its long heritage of wood carving allowed me to create a unique style.
I find a connection with Mother Nature through the creation of ceramic art. My pieces radiate the warmth of earthenware colors, and express the elegance and harmony of nature through my abstract designs, the interplay between line and form, and surface treatment.

At the moment, April 2011, I am in the USA where I live in California. I still have my workshop here, but nothing of the Kamakura-Red ware. Everything is in Japan, where I would have opened on March 31 my "Cherry Blossom" Exposition in Kamakura, but I canceled the show because of the terrible disasters in Japan. I would have no electricity to fire my kiln and even didn't want to. Better to save it for more basic needs. And who is going to buy ceramics when there is not enough food to buy.
A second version of my 2nd booklet was printed here in California March 2011: "Kamakura-Red", Ceramic Adventures in Japan II. It is a wonderful booklet explaining my inspiration for this work with lots of pictures about Kamakura, Kamakura Bori and my work.
