Welcome to my shop. I offer unique items made from materials I love.
My mittens are made from recycled and upcycled felted wool sweaters. Each pair is embellished with original needle felted designs and lined with roll end fleece or recycled cashmere. Sometimes I hand knit and felt the cuffs to make a perfect topper. Please note that each mitten is different, yet co-ordinated with its mate. Why match? It's boring.
The Scandinavian "tomten" don knit and felted hats. Their beards are made from wool roving. Occasionaly I tuck in some hair from my "White Dog's" tail. Each tomte comes with an explanation of what a tomte is, a name with the meaning of that name, and year it was made. Every home needs at least one tomte. During the holidays, you need lots to adorn your shelves, cabinet tops, or trees. No one else will have anything that cute.
The other items are things I put together while I am not doing my housework.
