As a child I can remember always wanting to knit. I had found a pair of knitting needles in a out of the way place and played tirelessly with some yarn. I never did get anyone to teach me. Time went on and I became interested in quilting, needle point, crochet and finally graphic art. It wasn't until we moved to Ireland that the desire to knit was rekindled. I would see the wool jumpers and the sheep grazing in the fields. With the knitting bugs teeth deep into my very soul one day I conveniently stumbled into a knitting shop. I asked this less than helpful shop owner if they had lessons and the woman said..."lessons, dear there are two stitches in knitting, knit and purl. Could it have been that easy all along I wondered. Well yes to some degree it is that easy. Since then I have been knitting everyday of my life. I have a wide variety of wool and collect even more. It eases the mind to knit and puts everything into order.
