thesapphirekat's Shop Announcement

I come by my love of patterns naturally. Both my mom and her grandmother before her were talented seamstresses. My mom is now 73 and did most of her sewing on an old black electric Singer. My great grandmother was amazing. She could look at a dress and make a perfect copy...no pattern. Her machine was not electric. It was powered by her foot!

For sure I didn't inherit their sewing skill, but I definitely inherited their love of fabric, fashion, patterns and buttons! I have thousands of buttons and hundreds of vintage patterns. To me, buttons and patterns are small works of art and an important part of fashion history.

*Note about my patterns* All my patterns are either uncut or cut and complete with all pieces. Pattern envelopes have varying degrees of wear.

Please keep in mind that most of these patterns are 20-40 years old. If they were people, they could be finished with college or have a couple of grandkids!
