Hello! Welcome to The Tin Thimble!

My mother and I own a little creative sewing shop in Newcastle, CA. We love creating unique gifts and inspiring others to create so we thought we'd share some of our supplies and some of the hand-crafted gifts that we make with those who can't make it to our shop.

Here at The Tin Thimble we are strong believers in vintage sewing. And not only the styles of times past but also the notions, fabrics, buttons, patterns and trims. These wonderful sewing things were made during a time when the importance was placed on quality not quantity, unlike the current state of sewing merchandise. We carry a lot of items that are either vintage, recycled or remnant pieces from previous projects or unwanted stashes.
