The Woolley Farm ~ Wool From Our Maine Sheep Farm

thewoolleyfarm's Shop Announcement

Unique wool fiber from our flock of 60 rare Jacob & Moorit sheep & goats grazing on the hills of tiny Maine town and our little stone cottage in Bonane Ireland. One-of-a-kind combinations, including dog hair (chiengora!), cashmere, angora, mohair, silk, even milkweed from the fields -- all processed one skein at a time. We raise the sheep, hand-shear them, and wash/clean the fleeces. We dye the rovings in antique kettles on our old cook stove, hang them to dry on the wooden fences & rockwall, then hand spin them on our collection of antique spinning wheels during the cold Maine winters.

Each item, whether rovings or finished yarn, has been made from our prize-winning flock of pampered, happy sheep and goats.
