One of our primary goals with Filter is to get art and literature in the hands of as many people as possible! To that end, we offer 50 books at an Artist/Student price for the low income, 100 books at a Supporter price for the low income who have a little more to give, 50 books at a Patron price for those who want to dig deeper for art, and 15 copies at a Hero price for those who can pay us exactly what it costs to make one copy of Filter.
Filter is a literary journal made entirely by hand. Each issue contains erasures and other literary art alongside unaltered poetry, fiction and visual art. Filter seeks to represent the work it holds on a visceral level, so that the book is as carefully crafted as the poetry, fiction and art that it contains.
I also sell hand bound blank books. My creations are bound with linen, silk and cotton fabrics. I also use traditional book cloth and paper binding methods.
Many of my books have designs on the covers that are hand embroidered or freehand stitched on my trusty sewing machine. You'll also find screen-printed covers here from time to time.
I use archival papers and Irish linen thread so that your treasure will live on for generations.
