At present, I feel that I must concentrate all my efforts towards my day job. In addition to working long and variable hours, the wine trade requires a lot of additional reading and outside study in order to be thoroughly informed and perform to a high standard. I've tried to fit making jewellery around my day job for many months now, but to the effect that i feel like i am always halfway devoted to a number of things and not especially focused on any one thing in particular. I'll be working towards a WSET qualification in wines and spirits in the coming months and using any free time around that for cooking as a large chunk of the wine trade is about the food that goes with it. A broad understanding of wine and food pairing is something i aim to thoroughly develop. That pretty much means I need to clear the wire, pliers, torches, solder, flux, etc off my kitchen table and get to working with rather more palate-able materials instead!

I would like to thank all of my customers past and present for their support of my work and for the friendship and loyalty I've been lucky enough to experience from so many of you. I hope this is not a permanent farewell to design and to the job I've done of creating jewels for such a wonderful group of people, but more like 'see you again sometime...a bit further on down the road'.
