Wear and tear is normal for any footwear, the more friction you put on your slippers (ie. scooting around in your slippers) even on carpet can result in the fabric wearing down more rapidly. (Keep that in mind and wear only indoors.) These slippers will not shrink in the wash, and due to being made with acrylic yarn, you do not need to wash these as frequently as you would with a natural fabric because it does not retain odor.
