Welcome to my shop! Everything listed here is hand-carved from cottonwood bark.

About cottonwood: There are several types of cottonwood tree, a few of these types produce a thick bark that grows on the tree in ridges instead of a smooth layer like on most trees. In order for the bark to be carveable, the tree must be dead for at least a year, a good sign that the bark is ready is that it will separate from the trunk easily.

All of the bark I carve comes from eastern Idaho.
