Sea glass has a deep meaning for me. I feel that when I create each piece of jewelry, I think of it's rich history. Each piece of glass has had a well traveled journey to reach it's destination. It takes anywhere from 20 to 100 years or more for the oxidation process to turn the glass into a one of a kind gem of the sea. Each piece is unique and rare. No one has a piece that is exactly alike in the world. You can only find these gems of the sea in certain parts of the world. What was once discarded and thrown into the sea,the sea has yielded and given back to us a beautiful gift to cherish. People don't realize that it is also Eco friendly. This is truly something that people can hand down to their loved ones as an heirloom that transcends it's rich beauty and history. I am also a member of the FAEteam on Etsy.
