The philosophy behind the Arts and Crafts movement believed that the industrial revolution had made man less creative as ‘his’ craft skills had been removed from the manufacturing process. One aim of the movement was to put ‘man’ back in to the design and manufacturing process, Craft skills and good honest design would again be central to the manufacturing process.

Trulee Twisted designs reflect a similar philosophy, a love for beauty found in simple and humble things, and a return to traditional craft methods and ‘romantic’ forms of decoration. My intention is to create a unique style of wearable art that gives regard to aesthetics of simplicity and reverence for things found in nature, as well as to remind us that it is a part of our everyday lives.

In an age when everything is mass produced by machines, it should be noted that the designs are constructed in a way to show the artisan's hand and is always involved. All pieces are handcrafted carefully by the individual rather than on a mass production line making each one "trulee" unique and loved.
