Underthekitchensink - Affordable Contemporary Art and Photography.

Andy Peutherer (Underthekitchensink)is an artist and photographer based in Glasgow, Scotland. He is constantly producing new work with many different and seemingly random subjects such as contemporary Scottish landscapes of The Isle Of Lewis, Harris, Skye and The Highlands of Scotland as well as Star Wars pop art, wildlife, abstract buildings and abstract geometric paintings.

Andy's work is influenced by many interests such as the natural world and urban culture.

His paintings have a very distinctive and striking style with very bright vibrant colour and layered textures using techniques from graffiti, traditional painting and some of his own.

His work is created with a mix of mediums such as spray paint, acrylic, emulsion and through experiments with products from under the kitchen sink.

WHAT ARE BLOCK MOUNTS? ...

Block mounts are made by laminating a paper print onto a cut to size MDF wood board.

They are painted round the edges with a small border round the print which gives a sharp contemporary look when hung.

Block mounts have a small hole in the back which lets a small nail fit in leaving it flush to the wall.

Laminated so you can wipe them clean and UV proof so they dont' fade in time.

Just put a nail in the wall and they are ready to hang.
