Pouring through the dozens of catalogs my parents received in the mail, Sears, Penny's, Wards, and an occasional Spiegel, my 10 Year Old's Self's dream was to someday own a mail order business.
I would literally read every page of these catalogs, savoring each page, referring to previous pages to make sure my comparisons were accurate, mentally making a delicious shopping list for everyone. The toy section first, then girl's clothes for me, and women's clothes for my Mom. Once a year Dad would take the big Sears, sit down at the kitchen table, and in a few minutes had filled out his own clothing order for the year...Done.

In those days you could get anything for yourself or your home from Sears or Wards. Heck, at one time you could even get a house from Sears!
I thought the pet section was nice. But we never bought any. In those days I didn't care for the jewelry much. Black and white photography doesn't quite bring out the bling. I did like the home decor though. And was thrilled when I received a paint on velvet or craft kit for Christmas or birthday!
Flash forward through hundreds of estate auctions, thousands of flea markets, and even more garage sales, my husband and I have managed to fill two buildings with our inventory. And in 1997 that 10 Year Old's dream began to be realized. The internet came into my life. So instead of schlepping my finds to the Golden Nugget Flea Market or Rices Sale in the back of my pick-up truck, I could save my back and begin to sell in a gentler, more civilized fashion...on the internet.
