velvetmechanism's Shop Announcement

Welcome to Velvet Mechanism, a boutique featuring steampunk jewelry and accessories for men and women. Steampunk corsets, harnesses, cufflinks, necklaces, goggles, and more!

Please go to www.velvetmechanism.com to sign up for the mailing list for news, special sales and updates. Or add me on FaceBook for announcements and weekly sales - http://www.facebook.com/pages/Velvet-Mechanism/53084106807

My designs are hand-crafted from non-working vintage materials. Most of the materials that I work with date from the late 1800s up to the 1950s. I love giving these beautiful vintage pieces the chance to be seen and appreciated again!

Velvet Mechanism has been featured in the book 1,000 Steampunk Creations, the role-playing book Unhallowed Necropolis, The Seattle Times, Ibuki Magazine, Goth Magazine, Haute Macabre, Morbid Outlook, Divine Caroline, Dose Nation, and a Chinese fashion magazine. I've also been featured in catalogs for Gloomth and the Sanguine Gryphon, in the web series Perpetual Steampunk, in a production of Wicked at the Det Ny Teater in Denmark, and in numerous other productions, publications, art galleries and blogs. My work has been shown on the front page of Etsy several times, The Storque, and the Etsy Gift Guide.

There's been some talk recently about the danger of radium (a radioactive material) in some vintage watch parts. I want to assure you that I have tested all of my materials with a Geiger counter, and all of them are NON-radioactive and safe, so you can feel secure buying Velvet Mechanism creations!

Velvet Mechanism is a proud member of the Etsy SteamTeam!
