5 out of 5 starsEtsy wants five words, at least, for a review, but one will do here: WOW! I'm glad I have it--so I can lie down and marvel at it! If, when you read "chaise," you think of a fragile, sat-in piece of furniture that really doesn't fit in any of your grandma's rooms ... well, then you've got it all wrong. This chaise is a formidable piece of furniture--beautifully crafted of solid cherry. It will probably last longer than the house; it certainly looks better. I very much appreciated the opportunity to select fabrics for it--but the whole project got much more interesting when the artist (and that's totally the right word) helped with recommendations. The finished product has far exceeded even my wildest expectations for it--and I was already looking forward to a truly modern take on a classic piece of furniture. WOW!

5 out of 5 starsWorked out some customizations that turned out great. Everything worked out wonderfully, from the communications, design, shipping, and the final product. I had originally planned to put this upstairs, but now I'm leaving it downstairs where more people will be able to see it :)

5 out of 5 starsJessica was wonderful to work with--long discussions about the best wood to match the room, and many fabric swatches sent back and forth. The finished couch is gorgeous--elegant and comfortable. Delivered when promised. Jessica's work is highly recommended.

5 out of 5 starsI am a psychoanalyst and recently designed a new office. My patients lie on a couch and I didn’t want a sterile analyst's couch. I looked at antique daybeds and fainting couches but they were too short. Then I noticed the fainting couch by Jessica on Etsy. I contacted her with my requirements: long, sleek, curly maple and black fabric. She worked tirelessly on designs until this one was born. The photos on this site are my couch in my office. It is even more beautiful than the photos. My patients love it and I marvel at its simple lines and elegance. This is not only a gorgeous piece of furniture but the quality of the construction is top notch. Jessica worked tirelessly to get it right. Don’t miss the opportunity to own a great couch. And don’t miss the opportunity to work with Jessica. She is the real deal!

5 out of 5 starsThe purchase of a diorama table from this fine artist was an extraordinary and utterly delightful experience. Ms. Smith was attentive to every request for personalizing the table and added charming creative ideas to create a great one of a kind piece of art. Her work reflects talent and integrity--we highly recommend her. Jackie and Gary, Iowa
It began with a few pieces of furniture.

I am inspired by historic structures, old objects, colors, the feel of wood with a finished surface. I have a deep respect for trees and think that reincarnation of the wood into something that can last lifetimes is an honor to the tree itself.
