I am a jewelry designer in Chicago and sell at art fairs, local boutiques and ETSY, of course!

If you have seen me at a show or looked at my website at www.veronicarileymartens.com, you'll see a variety of styles and materials. In fact, you may think I'm more like Sybil and suffer some type of personality disorder.... I use semi-precious stones, mixed metals, found objects, vintage jewelry pieces, wood, nuts... anything that will make a stylish statement.

However, I have shifted my designs in 2009 to the use of tagua nuts. They are a sustainable, organic product that comes from the rainforest. I love these not only because they are eco-friendly, but they are also lightweight and available in beautiful colors. They can be dyed a variety of hues and come in various sizes and cuts.

I still can't resist some of my "old classic" asymmetrical designs, so keep an eye out for those. I randomly add pieces to my etsy site when I have time between art fairs.
