virginiawyoming's Shop Announcement

Stoneware garden sculpture, hanging planters, planters with built in drainage, pie plates, soap dishes, shaving mugs, plates and mugs are on my studio shelves and listed in my shop here. My new series of vases made of leaf shapes is ongoing. Several listings of these are in my shop already.

Planters are a favorite item and gardeners are using them especially for their collections of cacti and succulents. I love to see pelargoniums in mine- both scented and rare ones with spectacular leaf markings. Planting something on your windowsill in this Northern Hemisphere makes Spring seem possible.

I am just loading a bisque (the first firing) kiln with planters, goblets and some Valentine items. Keep checking my listings for new items. '

Off the beaten path, I look out my studio window at the surrounding woods and currently lots of snow. My amaryllis have gone by and I'm just planting some seeds for greens in the windows (under lights) that can go to the greenhouse in March.

The patterns of the overlapping branches are an inspiration in winter, the shades of green so gorgeous in the spring and summer and the autumn color, of course, spectacular.

If you are purchasing a gift, I can include a card. I use clean, recycled materials and boxes whenever possible. I double box so rarely is there breakage. If you want insurance you may pay for it so please indicate that you do.

Horticulturists go back at least four generations in my family and I keep the tradition going in my own way.

To see my work in use go to the article by Michaela on her blog: http://www.thegardenerseden.com/?tag=virginia-wyoming-pottery
And of general interest Michaela has written a great article on container gardening on her Gardenerseden.com blog. She has featured more pieces recently, also.
One of my planter groups was also featured on the Garden Design Magazine Blog.

I use stoneware and some earthenware clay and dinnerware safe glazes. Most are one of a kind pieces. Each one even when similar is made by hand separately.

CROW SERIES - Sculptures for indoor or outdoor use. I use a special clay for both these series that holds up to winter freezing and thawing as long as objects are not filled with water. I am beginning a new series as most of the crows are already in gardens from Henderson, North Carolina, west to LA and North to Putney, Vermont.

My website is virginiawyoming.com and I have a page at vermontcrafts.com on the web.

I would be glad to quote shipping prices to other countries. This has to be done individually and with the Post Office as it is difficult to make estimates.

Locally, you can see my work at the Walpole Artisans Cooperative on Main Street in Walpole, New Hampshire where I am a member.

If you live within 30 miles of Putney, Vt. delivery or pickup can be arranged to save postage costs.

This shop accepts Etsy Gift Cards.
