vpauld's Shop Announcement

I have always loved textile design and I've recently begun designing my own fabrics. I'm now offering a number of items that I have made from these fabrics, featuring my designs printed on 100% cotton. Some of the new items I'm offering include pillow covers for various size pillow forms, zippered coin or credit card pouches and vinyl lined pouches that could be used for either cosmetics or school supplies.

From Valentines to fridge magnets, from hair clips to fine art prints, from crocheted scarves to pillow covers, I have lots of great gift items listed in my shop. My items range in price from $1.50 up to $30.00 with many of my items under $20.00.

All of the printed items in my shop - note cards, prints and ACEOs, have been printed by me personally using an Epson ink jet printer and DuraBrite Ultra Inks. I print the items myself in order to keep the cost down. To have cards and prints printed professionally would force me to raise my prices. The photos that you see with each item are an accurate representation of what I send out.

I also have in my shop a few vintage items that came from the home of an elderly aunt. In this section you'll find vintage jewelry, vintage linens, aprons, fabric and pottery.

I am a freelance illustrator, currently living in Bloomington, Indiana. I love children's book illustration and vintage things. I have a love for paper ephemera - old coloring books, movie posters, stamps, paper dolls, postcards and photographs. I try and draw everyday, even if it's just a doodle in my sketchbook. I also love making things. It started by experimenting with polymer clay. More recently I've begun to make bottle cap necklaces and glass tile pendants. I've always loved rubber stamps so I've recently begun to make gift tags using my vintage rubber stamps from the 1930s. I love flowers, animals and fairy tales so you'll see references to those interests pop up in my illustrations, my ACEOs and the polymer clay items, pens, brooches and necklaces that I make and sell.

If you are interested in children's book illustration and paper ephemera, check out my blog called 'Light and Shade' (http://vinpauld.blogspot.com/). I often post images and write about some of my vintage paper goods like paper dolls and other vintage toys. I also write about children's book illustration as well as featuring some of my own work.
