I create artistic embroidery/fiber art. I am interested in the combination of traditional craft and contemporary art.
I stitch images onto canvas and often add vintage maps, sheet music, recycled thread, reclaimed lace and other materials.
I am frequently inspired by the ocean and our connections with it, as with our other connections to the natural world. I also find myself working with images of people.
These images evolve from my memories, vintage photographs, creatures from the sea, folklore, and the organic materials that surround us.
