Why Girls Go Astray

whygirlsgoastray's Shop Announcement

Welcome to Why Girls Go Astray paper crafts.

I started Why Girls Go Astray in Chicago in the late 1990s. I’ve always had a love for working with paper and textiles. There’s always been a certain look-and-feel to my products: bold colors, a vintage look-and-feel, a cheeky attitude, and a bit of an obsession with symmetry (but not always). Although I've made a variety of goods in the past (decoupage furniture, pillows, t-shirts, zines) right now I'm quite keen on vases, magnets, and paperweights.

The paperweights can be difficult to photograph, therefore, I have included the original illustrations to represent the exact colors and design. The back of the paperweights are covered in heavy felt and have a cloth label.

The vases really are as luminous as shown in the photos and the colors seem to photograph correctly. The vases utilize bleeding tissue paper and the effect is rather transparent.

Ciao!
