I was an SX-70 photographer for many years but when Polaroid discontinued this film I was at a loss. Now I've been able to re-create the look with Photoshop. It takes three times as long to do as the original SX-70 photo prints but I'm just as excited by the process. During the time I was experimenting with Photoshop to reproduce the SX-70 effect I stumbled across TtV (through the viewfinder) photography. Not one to be satisfied with using a camera alone I set out to perfect a digital TtV look as well.

And then I discovered textured overlays. To say it was love at first sight doesn't even cover the feeling of total infatuation!! I'm addicted to changing the texture and shape of each photo I process in PS nowadays. And because I do my own photography I can set up the photos so that they work perfectly with my texture recipes.

I've also uncovered boxes of vintage photos and slides in family attics and basements so I expect to be manipulating these in Photoshop as well. So after years away, I'm finally back to photography and I couldn't be happier!
