Only one item is sold in this store, but it is an important one.
A few months ago, a very good friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her being in LA, and me living in NY I felt a little useless in the most important part of her treatment. Namely, keeping the spirits up. Keeping a smile on her face during all the rough parts of treatment.
I decided to make her a little White Blood Cell (WBC) doll as a good luck charm. I had hoped she would occasionally glance at him and smile, maybe give him a little kiss every now and then.
Well, he became a phenomenon! She began taking him everywhere with her, and photographing him doing all sorts of things. WBC became the mascot of her fight against cancer. She photographed him with her nurses, doctors, and friends. Posed him next to statues and flowers. She even posed him next to clumps of her hair that had fallen out! He kept her and everyone who knows and loves her in good spirits (she posts the pictures online).
Since he was such a hit for her, I wanted to spread the love. I've made a bunch of little WBCs to spread across the world. I hope that whether you buy one for a friend, or buy one for yourself WBC brings you luck, health, and joy.
$5 from each sale will be donated to a breast cancer center in either NY, LA, or VA.
