Welcome to Yarn or a Tale's Etsy Shop! If you haven't visited for awhile, please check it out ~ I've lowered prices on some items and have a good selection of sale and clearance items.

My name is Leah and I've been dyeing and selling fiber and yarn since 2005. I'm a spinner and knitter myself and am always happy to help or answer your questions.

I'm always willing to ship gifts so convo me and I'll be happy to make arrangements for gift wrapping and will send the item directly to the recipient with a note for you.

I'll be featuring hand-dyed yarns and spinning fibers here, as well as some lovely natural fibers and yarn. My mission is to provide primarily AMERICAN MADE items here ~ most of my rovings are from sheep raised by US shepherds, processed in a US mill and dyed here by me :) All of my fleeces & locks have been purchased from U.S. shepherds and are carefully hand-washed and hand-picked by me.

I hope you enjoy browsing and shopping and I'm always happy to answer any questions you may have or custom dye yarn and fibers!

Please keep in mind that while I love supplying yarn and fiber to fiber artists, I also work full time outside the home. In the summer, shipping is a bit slower but now that we've had our first frost and the garden is going to bed for the year, I have more time in the evenings to pack and ship orders :) I always ship via Priority Mail in a box ~ I'll never ship your yarn or fiber in a first class mail envelope.

You can expect to receive your item within 5 - 7 days of your purchase and oftentimes, sooner than that. If you need it ASAP, let me know and I'll do my best to help you meet your deadline :)
