ZenDeb - Wood turned Art Imbued with Intention
ZenDeb's Shop Announcement
Hi and welcome. My name is Debra Breton and I'm one of artisans from TheDebs.com. Have been a full time woodturner since 2002 and an AAW member since that time as well.
Almost all of the wood turned art comes from trees that were felled due to storms, illness or construction. Occasionally I do use kiln dried wood that is indigenous to our area. In cases that exotic wood is used, I try to ensure that it is from a sustainable source. It is my hope that the wood from these trees will be admired for their beauty and that in some way, they live on through this art...
I try to bring my love and reverence for nature and all living things, "through" in my work. I believe it is nature that is the distinguished artist, while often times I'm just the tool.
When you purchase something from zendeb, know that you are supporting works from a local American artisan who is also aligned with turning sustainable woods and donating a portion of her quarterly profits to charities that support the environment and animals. Thank you...
Namasté,
Debra
