For crocheted items, I typically charge approximately 1 cent per crocheted inch (so, for 30 rows of a 72" scarf, about $21.60) plus the cost of materials plus a base fee of $3. Sometimes I come across a splice as I go through a skien. If you specify that you don't want any splices/knots in an item, I may charge a bit extra for additional time/yarn. I don't like to work with rough materials like wool. I prefer to work with bamboo, soy, or recycled or organic cotton when possible, but these materials tend to be pricier than "regular" cotton or acrylic.
I can make paper beads in specific lengths and colors upon request. I typically charge $0.25 a bead + a $3 base fee, but I'm more flexible about that with larger quantities of beads.
