Alchemy is Etsy's system for requesting custom items. A buyer describes the item they would like and the seller responds with the details of the item they can create. Read about how Alchemy works in our Alchemy Overview.
No egg ever turns out the same, there is always variation in the egg, size, shape, and how the dye takes to the egg. but if you have a picture of a design, for example, from my web page, or from my "sold" eggs, I can do my best to make you a replication. Or if you have a picture of something from a different source and would like it on an egg, I can let you know if I can do it. If you would like a particular design on a goose egg instead of a chicken egg, I can do that as well (however, some designs may not suit a goose egg as well). Some other examples of possible custom eggs are eggs with a name on it (for births) or a couple's names (for weddings, or anniversaries).
An egg may take up to a week to make, because there needs to be sufficient drying time after each stage of emptying, dying, and varnishing.
The price of a custom egg depends on the intricacy of the design, and how long I think it will take to make. I would say that the price range would probably be between $20 and $30 for a normal, chicken or goose egg.
