My grandmother taught me to knit when I was 6. I loved knitting long before it became the popular craft it now is.

I taught myself crochet from a book when I was 8. I couldn't figure out how to make something flat for a long time, so I made lots of nose warmers. I have since remedied that problem!

I hope to elevate both these crafts to art.

I suffer from a yarn addiction that threatens to take over my home. I love the colors and smells and textures and fluffy softness. I prefer natural fibres to synthetic, and my work always reflects that. I abhor cheap acrylic. You will not find it in my work! If you plan on using red heart for one of my patterns, please don't tell me as it will give me nightmares!

I have an old-fashioned aesthetic. I love antiques and vintage and lace and subdued tones. You will notice that in my designs.

Payment

I accept paypal which accepts most major credit cards, e-checks and debit cards.

I have never had a non-payment problem, or even a late payment problem. I suppose if someone doesn't pay for an item in 2 weeks, I'll re-list it and make it available for another buyer. As I said, this has never been an issue to date.

I calculate taxes into my sales price, it is not an issue for anyone.

I usually finish custom orders within 2 weeks of purchase. (Except for chess sets which may take up to 6 months!)

Shipping

I check my email at least twice a day except on sabbath (see below). You will receive your pattern in .pdf form as an email attachment. I try to email the patterns as soon as I receive confirmation of payment from paypal. If you have not received your pattern within 2 days of your purchase, please email me at cozycoleman [!at] hotmail.com.

N E W S H I P P I N G P O L I C Y :

I charge US$0.50 for packaging plus:

US$10.00 for domestic and US$30.00 for International.
After I have purchased the shipping label I will refund the difference to the customer.

Due to the difficulty of estimating shipping ahead of time I have found that I often eat the shipping costs. Or worse, sometimes my customer gets over charged. While it may seem like a bit of a nuisance, this way no one is getting charged more than they should for shipping.

I ship all items US first class mail, unless it works out to be cheaper to go priority mail (sometimes it is). If you would prefer some other shipment method, please let me know.

Refunds and Exchanges

Patterns cannot be returned or refunded, for obvious reasons.

All other items (except hats) can be returned within 30 days of purchase for a full refund minus shipping.

Hats cannot be returned due to laws governing sanitation on hats... who knew? We've got laws for everything!

In general, I don't like to allow sales of derivative works from my patterns. In other words, don't make 100 chess sets (yeah right!) and sell them on ebay! However, I have and do make changes to this policy under special circumstances. Please email me for consent, if you feel you deserve an exception.

____________________ S A B B A T H P O L I C Y ____________________

I apologize for this minor inconvenience, but I will no longer be turning on the computer on Sabbath. This means if you purchase a pattern after 5pm E.S.T. on Friday or before 7 pm E.S.T on Saturday you will have to wait until late Saturday evening or Sunday to receive your pattern. I do apologize for this, I don't like having to wait for patterns either, but even g-d took a day off.
