Welcome

Welcome to {natashacinnamon}.

I'm Natasha Newton, a professional artist and illustrator living and working in England. I'm inspired by nature and patterns, stories and symbolism, birds and trees, which I incorporate into my paintings and illustrations. My art, which is often compared to the work of Maurice Sendak and Edward Gorey, has been described as 'simultaneously charming and edgy'.

I sell my work in galleries and online and I exhibit regularly. I've just finished my first solo show at the Serena Hall Gallery in Southwold, Suffolk, UK in October 2009. In 2010 I will be working on two more shows: a solo show in England with sound installation by the composer Leon Milo, and a joint show in Germany in Oct-Nov 2010.

My work has been featured on Apartment Therapy, Design Is Mine, The Beat That My Heart Skipped, Pikaland, Cre8ive Juice, Cuteable, Moo, Mad Atoms, and many other websites and blogs. I was interviewed recently about my art and successfully selling online. You can read the interview here:

Payment

UK buyers: please pay by cheque or Paypal.
US or other overseas buyers: please pay by Paypal.

Note to UK Buyers:

Etsy is an American site so the prices are in US Dollars, but this isn't a problem. If you pay by Paypal it will automatically do the currency conversion for you. If you wish to pay by cheque, just contact me and I will let you know the equivalent price in GBP. If you would like to find out the price of the items yourself, www.xe.com is a very good currency conversion site to use.

Paying in Installments:

For more expensive items (over $200.00), you can choose to pay for your purchase in installments over two or three months. If you'd like more details on this, just convo me!

Further Information:

If you have any further questions about purchasing items on Etsy, please go here for some 'Buying FAQs': http://www.etsy.com/faq_buying.php

Shipping

Your items will be shipped to you within 3-4 days (or sooner!) from the date of order. I will email to let you know when they are on their way.

All larger paintings are sent by tracked and insured mail/airmail. Smaller paintings, illustrations, postcards etc. are sent by regular airmail if outside of the UK, or by First Class mail within the UK, to keep the cost of shipping lower. These items are still insured, but are not trackable.

I package everything *very carefully* to ensure it arrives safely and in perfect condition.
