***IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT THE GIFT BOX FOR SALE #200: I have a goodie box for the lucky customer who makes the 200th purchase from my shop. You will receive this special gift along with your purchase for no extra shipping fees. You must pay to ship the item you purchased, however, and you will not receive your item or the gift box until payment for the item(s) you purchase(d) is/are made in full. Thank you! *ABOUT SILVERBUGS JEWELRY*

This little Etsy shop is a one-woman show run entirely by me, Kelly D. Mackoy. I design everything, hand-pick all my supplies, make and ship everything, and if you contact me, you can be sure you're dealing directly with me.


*MY PHILOSOPHY*

I want my shop to be a place where anyone can find beautiful, heirloom-quality jewelry at a reasonable price.


*CUSTOM JEWELRY...CAN YOU MAKE THIS/THAT IN A DIFFERENT SIZE/COLOR/METAL?*

I welcome custom orders and encourage you to ask questions about anything you see in my shop. I don't like to make an exact copy of something I've already sold, because that ruins the unique nature of the item. But I can make something similar most of the time. It really just depends on the availability of materials. If you have questions about ANYTHING, please feel free to contact me here at my Etsy shop or at silverbugsjewelry [!at] hotmail.com.

Payment

*WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?*

Right now I take payment by PayPal, exclusively. If you need to arrange something else with me, please let me know as soon as possible.


*WHEN IS PAYMENT DUE?*

ASAP, preferably. Items will not ship until payment is made in full. It is Etsy's policy to require payment within three days of purchase. This is my policy, too. If you purchase an item and have not paid or even tried to contact me within one week, I will leave the appropriate (negative) feedback, cancel the sale and take appropriate action with Etsy. Don't mean to sound hostile, but a little communication goes a long way.


*CAN YOU HOLD/RESERVE AN ITEM FOR ME?*

If you see an item you LOVE and have to have but don't get paid till Friday (you know how it goes...) just contact me and I MAY be able to reserve it for you. That means, the item will be put in the "Reserved" section of my shop and marked with your name to discourage anyone else from buying it. I will reserve any item for up to three days, after which you must purchase it or at least let me know you've changed your mind. Although if you keep changing your mind about things, your Reserve privileges in my shop WILL be taken away...


*I HAVE AN ETSY STORE, TOO. CAN WE TRADE/BARTER?*

I am open to trading/bartering with other Etsy sellers. It's fun and a good way to meet other shop owners. My favorite things to trade for are ACEO's, brass jewelry supplies, polymer clay items, Harry Potter stuff, LOST stuff, soaps & lotions, soy candles, baked goods and treats and other trinkets priced less than $50. But if you see something you like in my shop and wonder if I'll consider a trade, just go ahead and ask. :)

Shipping

*HOW MUCH FOR SHIPPING?*

SHIPPING FEES HAVE INCREASED FOR ALL ITEMS NOT IN THE CLEARANCE SECTION. I hated to do this, but shipping fees are going up and I was already losing money by only charging $1USD when I've been paying, on average, $1.25USD to ship items from my shop. As of 9/15/2009, I charge a flat-rate fee of $1.50 to ship anywhere in North America. This is basic, first-class mail shipping. Allow up to one week/five business days for these locations.

I also ship internationally for a flat-rate fee of $5 (US). This is also basic, first-class global mail.


*WHERE CAN YOU SHIP MY PURCHASES?*

Anywhere! Just let me know if the shipping address will be different than the address you've registered on Etsy or PayPal with.


*I NEED MY ITEMS ASAP! CAN I UPGRADE MY SHIPPING?*

Absolutely. Contact me as soon as you've made your purchase and we'll decide which expedited shipping option is best.

I can ship internationally via Priority/Global Priority Mail for $5 anywhere in the US, $10 anywhere in Canada and $15 anywhere else in the world.

If you need your items even faster, I can ship internationally via Express Mail/Global Express Mail for $16.25 anywhere in the US and $25 anywhere else in the world.

Expedited shipping prices are pretty steep, so plan ahead. This is especially important to remember during the Christmas/Holiday season!


*FREE SHIPPING*

All items priced over $75 are shipped for FREE! There is NO catch. The items are already listed with free shipping. You don't have to do anything but purchase the item and pay for it. Remember that this free shipping is basic, first-class mail--but it's good for anywhere in the world! :)


*CAN I PURCHASE SHIPPING INSURANCE?*

If you MUST have your package(s) insured, send me a message here and we can work something out. Right now, I am already sending out items with Delivery Confirmation and I am considering sending all items out via Registered Mail so I can provide you with a Tracking # at no extra charge.

Refunds and Exchanges

*CAN I GET A REFUND?*

Nope. Sorry. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. You have been warned.


*MY ITEM ARRIVED DAMAGED! CAN YOU REPAIR/REPLACE IT?*

Well...let me know what the damage is and I MIGHT be able to repair your item. Due to the unique nature of the items in my shop, I will not be able to replace any item damaged during shipping. As of this posting, this issue has never come up. I wrap the items securely, mark them as "fragile" and use sturdy, bubble-wrapped envelopes. Again, contact me and let me know what the damage is. I MAY be able to offer repairs at little or no extra charge.


*I ACCIDENTALLY BROKE MY NEW JEWELRY. CAN YOU HELP?*

Yes. But you will have to pay for the postage to send it back to me. You may also have to pay for extra materials and supplies depending on the damage to your item. I will gladly repair minor damages at no charge. However, if your jewelry has been severely damaged due to your own negligence, and is missing a significant number of pieces I WILL charge you for replacement of materials. So you might want to let me know what the damage is ahead of time as we might have to arrange a fee. It never hurts to ask, though.
