Payment

We accept Paypal. All Ontario and Canadians will be charged applicable taxes via Paypal

Shipping

kett made. always ships Airmail Internationally and Expeditted within Canada. Only Canadian orders are trackable due to International limitations via Airmail shipping.

If you would like tracking on your purchase, I can facilitate this for additional charge (shipping will then be approximately 25$ vs. the 7$)

Refunds and Exchanges

If there are ANY concerns with your item, please contact us immediately.

If you receive you item and are not happy, we will work towards a mutually agreeable solution.

If simply you are not happy with your purchase, we will certainly refund your money minus shipping and you are responsible for shipping back. You will be refunded upon receipt of the returned item.

If there is a problem with your item we will want photos of the item and please send us the material back so that we may learn from any issue that may have presented. We carefully engineer and put our items thru quality control rigors, we take any breakages or customer concerns very seriously.

If your package goes awol, we will ensure receipt of your order. As we ship from Canada, at times things get held up at the borders or provincial moose inspectors. please allow 4 weeks before getting nervous. After 4 weeks time, contact me ASAP, so I can begin a re-ship.

CARING FOR YOUR KETT MADE ITEM
Handwash (no dishwasher) with warm soapy water. We suggest drying with a cloth. But you may also air dry. Do not allow your items to stand in water.

If your item begins to feel dry or obtains the rough texture often associated with wooden items, you may give the occasional massage of beeswax, mineral oil or other FDA approved 'edible' wood conditioner.


A WORD ON SAFETY

All items are handsanded and each board of wood is carefully selected and inspected for its suitability. They are also put thru quality control rigors by a highly skilled professional wood worker.

We ONLY use wood conditioner that is approved and suitable for food contact items. (mineral oil and bees wax)

We also have researched extensively and are knowledgeable about the suitability of exotic woods for their advertised use. (As well as their safe handling within our woodshop environment!) Wood safety is a large part of the education of a Luthier.
While it is rare with the woods we are using, and very little data to support theoretical claims, it is thought that some rare individuals may have sensitivity to contact with some exotic woods (actual wood as opposed to wood dust) Potentially manifesting in dermatitis reaction.

Much the same as our own sons reaction to using metal spoons when he was quite young.

If you or the recipient have a known wood sensitivity, you may wish to purchase a BirdsEye Maple spoon or Cherry wood.

We feel that the minimal and theoretical risks are less in comparison to that of documented toxins in plastic-ware.

That said, we encourage everyone to use caution, watch children carefully as you introduce new environments, foods and objects into their life.

Please supervise use by children and handle kett made. spoons with care.
