Payment

Preferred payment is Paypal. Cashier's checks are also accepted. Taxes are included with all Illinois customer purchases. If payment is not received within 24 hours after the initial Etsy purchase, the piece of jewelry will be re-posted. If you would like to cancel your order, please contact me.

Shipping

I ship next business day USPS with tracking number and insurance. I will send you your confirmation number after your package has been shipped. If you prefer UPS or Fed Ex shipping, please contact me and I will ship accordingly. All packages are shipped in lots of bubble wrap and priority envelope mailer.

Broad Street is not responsible for lost or stolen shipments, including International shipping. Packages are insured and tracked, once it leaves my hands, it is your responsibility to track and follow up with insurance.

Refunds and Exchanges

Refunds or exchanges are possible within 2 weeks of your purchase date. Contact me if this is the case. Once I receive the jewelry, I will refund you. Exchanges are preferred.

Repairs happen, as is the nature of the beast when working with vintage jewelry. Contact me if you need something fixed or altered to fit your desired length.

Custom orders are Broad Street’s specialty. They result in evocative jewelry, infused with old memories but metamorphosed into something new.

There are two different ways to commission a custom piece:

(1) From your street to Broad Street…send me some pieces from your personal collection and I will deconstruct and re-work them into a novel assemblage. I will both add components from Broad Street’s existing treasure box and hunt for specific requests, using the color palettes, styles, and motifs from my Sold section as our common language.

(2) If you do not wish to revamp anything personal, peruse my Sold section and make a list of pieces you like. Through dialogue we will re-create your personalized version of a past favorite. Things to think about include:

* gold, silver, or multi-toned piece?
* rhinestones? colors?
* thick, thin, or multiple chains?
* asymmetry in either the chains or pendant assemblage?
* desired length?
* specific themes or charms?

During the process, I will email you pictures of the components I have found and can mock-up possibilities for your approval. This give-and-take approach imbues the finished piece with a distinctive character, and thus reflects the inclinations of both the artist and the wearer.

It takes about 30 days to create a custom piece. I require a 50% deposit up front, with final payment due upon completion. Prices start at $100 and rise according to the types and numbers of Broad Street components used, as well as the creative energy involved.
